Position Summary

The Marketing & Sales Marketing Cloud (Email) Manager will report into the Senior Director of Marketing and is responsible for building and managing our marketing automation for and Hyatt Vacation Club (HVC) and will plan, create, execute, and track highly targeted digital marketing campaigns to meet business goals. As the Marketing & Sales Marketing Cloud Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing omni-channel marketing automation campaigns including email marketing, landing pages, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, etc.

  • Propose ideas or find ways to improve services, systems, and/or procedures.


  • Be the in-house expert and champion of our Marketing Automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud & HubSpot) in order to engage, convert, and increase the value of prospects and customers across the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other Marketing teams (Demand Generation, Brand & Campaign Marketing, Marketing & Sales, Partner Marketing, Inhouse Marketing…) and other organizations to deliver compelling, personalized engagement journeys to our prospects, customers, and partners.
  • Track the performance of promotions campaigns, and initiate feedback conversations with Marketing Campaign/Experience owners and with teams of Marketing Representatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Set KPIs for the database email channel and work relentlessly to achieve and exceed those targets.
  • Create and update a marketing email & automation playbook to ensure all fields, workflows and reporting procedures are clearly documented with the most current state of operations.
  • Identify new opportunities for automated and personalized lifecycle marketing programs, while enhancing those programs in place today.
  • Partner with our Salesforce, Business Intelligence (BI), and Web Program teams to identify methods of collecting or leveraging customer data, develop campaigns/journeys that are seamlessly integrated with the product experience(s).


  • Develop and document file locations, Data Extensions, Cloud Pages, Migration List, Suppression List, Data Filters.
  • Develop and document all Send Emails, Import Files, File Transfers, Data Extractions, SQL Queries to allow email set up, automation deployment, SMS deployment, journey development, cloud page development, and trigger send development.
  • Develop scalable, personalized, automated marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (MC), leveraging email, landing pages, SMS, push notifications, in-app messaging, etc.


  • Create lead capture forms and landing pages to support lead and demand generation programs, to successfully reach new customers and expand revenue growth within existing customer base.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on MC; be the lead administrator of campaigns/marketing journeys, working hands-on within MC & Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Create and send all email campaign briefs to outline project name, duration, file path extensions, file path content builder, identify all fields required for emails, audience, SQL, decision splits, exit criteria, and journey activities.
  • Deliver, test, and create documentation for all assets, copy, emails, SMS, cloud pages, URL links, image, text, sender profiles, user permissions, reply mail management.
  • Manage and oversee all OPT in process and OPT out processes in relation to Marketing Cloud and HubSpot.
  • Manage the prospect and customer database by creating targeted lists and segments and maintain list health.
  • Create meaningful database segmentation so we can tailor campaign and program messages for targeted audiences across specific market segments.
  • Responsible for system/data integration to improve marketing automations and ensure their successful implementation with marketing technologies and data sources.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders, Digital Marketing, BI and Digital Analytics to continuously analyze, personalize, and A/B test marketing campaigns.
  • Manage, collect, and report digital marketing KPIs; present business updates, including analytics/KPIs, budgets and forecasting.
  • Responsible for email and automation Quality Assurance from design rendering to email functionality and lifecycle program functionality.
  • Deliver ongoing review of best-in-class marketing automation approaches, present trend reports, benchmark historical and industry best in class results; Stay current on emerging technologies.

Generic Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Usually, a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology).  College degree and/or related experience typically required.

Specific Candidate Profile


  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related business field.
  • Completion of SFMC Email Specialist Certification, additional Salesforce or SFMC certifications would be an advantage.
  • Marketing Cloud certification an advantage.
  • Completion of HubSpot Certifications


  • 3 – 6 years’ experience of relevant technology consulting or industry experience in a similar position required.
  • HTML and CSS knowledge required.
  • Hands-on platform experience on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and/or other SFMC ecosystem platforms (i.e., Audience Studio-DMP, Datorama, Interaction Studio, etc.)
  • Excellent working knowledge of software such as Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and HubSpot.
  • Experience leading large full-lifecycle implementations and/or implementing integrated solutions including other SFMC ecosystem technologies, cloud-based marketing solutions, integration services and data modeling.
  • Understanding or exposure to SFMC components (i.e., Audience Studio, Datorama, Interaction Studio, etc.).
  • Experience with other marketing technologies and analytics tools (i.e., Adobe, Oracle, Sprinklr, Google, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud would be an advantage.
  • Experience in leading SFMC implementations.
  • Experience leading large teams (on- and off-shore) and technology engagements, including client and consulting staff.
  • Experience with selling to C-level executives and other business development activities.

Salary range $65,000 - $90,000
